This particular doctrine is central to the Gospel, and it was certainly central to The Reformers, who brought back to the church this doctrine that seemed to have been lost for centuries. The central detail is that we are Justified through Faith, and not by any other means, such as good works. And even the faith that we have was first given to us by God as a gift. So, for sure, there can be no boasting!
