Preparing For the Mission Field
I believe that if we start the day off in prayer, praying that the Lord will direct our paths (See Proverbs 3:5-6), that we can expect people to cross our paths or vice-versa. But we could also pray in accordance to what Jesus taught in Matthew 9:36-38
9:36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd.
9:37 Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
9:38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Here Jesus told His disciples to pray the Lord of the harvest to send labourers into His harvest. Surely we should understand from this that we are also to be those labourers, and not that the Lord would just send someone else. Though, at the same time, perhaps someone else’s prayers are being answered as you answer the call to go in the harvest fields.
Let us not assume that the harvest field or ‘Mission Field’ is always half-way across the world. The Mission (should you choose to accept it) could be across the street, or on the other side of town .

Very good! The fields are certainly white, and ready for harvest. I believe this year will see many souls brought into the Kingdom
